For the project, The Bassiouni Group is managing a team of five technical experts representing Ethiopia, Ghana, Guyana, Guatemala and the United States.

 “This contract win marks another important milestone for TBG, as it entails a special review of UNICEF’s operations in the BNLSS countries,” said David Bassiouni, The Bassiouni Group’s Managing Director. “TBG looks forward to assisting ESARO in making the necessary programme and operational adjustments to better align itself with the ongoing development of the BNLSS countries. We are honored to have been selected to undertake this important review for ESARO and we are equally proud to reinforce our commitment to the development of the Southern Africa region.”

The objective of the project is to review UNICEF’s presence in BNLSS countries and the extent to which programmes and operations are “fit for purpose” in each of the countries. The review will:

Lead to a proposal of alternative programming and operating models that can be pursued to more effectively use the limited resources of the countries, addressing the country programme work, areas of joint work and outline the management mechanisms of collaboration and proposals for joint funding;

  • Further strengthen capacity in the region through alternative cost neutral business models that will achieve more results for children.;
  • Propose the optimal UNICEF presence in these countries outlining the programmatic and operational focus, organizational structures and any other relevant areas;
  • Propose a change management approach that will effectively support the transition into a new model that addresses the country focus and the areas of joint work.

The entire project will be overseen by TBG’s Project/Technical Team, which is mobilized to support every project through technical guidance, country intelligence, and dedicated research and analysis as well as quality control including the processing and editing of the reports. As a partner to consultant teams throughout the duration of every project, the Project/Technical Team ensures optimal outcomes in line with The Bassiouni Group’s quality standards.
