Introducing TBG’s 2019 Summer Internship Team

TBG is excited to introduce the Summer 2019 Internship Team. This accomplished group of graduate students will be assisting TBG on our ongoing projects covering Consulting (Business, Institutional, CSR/Sustainability), Investment and Trade and will tackle numerous sectors from Agriculture to Cleantech/Energy to Infrastructure Development.Learn more about our each intern below.

 

George Khoury — Columbia University SIPA

George is currently enrolled at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.He will earn his Master of International Affairs degree in 2020, concentrating on International Finance and Economic Policy with a specialization in Management.

George earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 2009, majoring in Economics with a minor in Chemistry. He then attended law school in London, earning a JurisDoctor from the University of Law of England & Wales in 2013.

After being admitted to the New York State Bar, George moved to Dubai in 2014, joining the law firm Eversheds Sutherland LLP and, subsequently, Hade & Partners LLC. His experience includes a broad range of corporate transactions, including M&A, private equity, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings. He has also advised clients on numerous cross-border commercial transactions involving distribution, franchising, and commercial agency, and on issues arising under outsourcing, consultancy, and services arrangements, and intellectual property matters.

George is fluent in Arabic and enjoys spending his time reading, travelling, discovering new music, and exploring nature. He is excited for the opportunity to be a part of TBG where he hopes to learn more about impact investing, blended finance, international trade, and economic and social development.

 

Arunwan (Ayre) Ketusiri – Columbia University SIPA

Arunwan is currently pursuing an MPA at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), specializing in Technology, Media and Communication & Management. She was granted Fulbright scholarship and SIPA fellowships to study in New York.

Arunwan originally came from Thailand where she earned her undergraduate degree in Public Administration from one of the most prestigious schools in the country, Chulalongkorn University. Her work experience encompasses a startup specializing in IT manpower; a global IT solution and services company, and a government agency supporting national innovation and technology.

Most of Arunwan’s experiences involved innovation and technology development: IT recruitment consulting; SAP, HRC module; promoting tech startup ecosystem and international collaboration in tech. Arunwan is passionate about cutting-edge technologies, innovations, social media and tech policies. She is excited to be an intern at TBG where she can gain knowledge relevant to technology, government, technology policies and public services.

 

Edward Yakubayev —  Aix-Marseille Graduate School of Management

Edward is a graduate student at Aix-Marseille Graduate School of Management in France, where he is pursuing a Master of Science in International Business. Born in Kazakhstan, Edward went on to obtain his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Paris II.

Prior to TBG, Edward interned for the United Nations Development Program in Kazakhstan, Airbus Group and KazMunayGas, gaining hands on experience in project management, business development and international negotiation. His personal areas of interest include international affairs and security, global financial markets, and the role of developing technology in business. Edward is fluent in English, Russian, French and proficient in Spanish.
